PikkoBot Configuration Files
Pre-tuned configs with JUKI nozzle calibration. Hosted directly on this site.
| Version | Notes |
|---|---|
| Vertex 4.1.0 (JUKI) | Recommended — pre-calibrated, solenoid fix included |
| Vertex 4.1.0 (stock) | Official defaults, uncalibrated |
| Vertex 4.0.1 (JUKI) | Recommended for 4.0.1 |
| Vertex 4.0.1 (stock) | Official defaults, uncalibrated |
Which Configuration to Load
The four options are two versions × two nozzle variants. Pick in this order:
- Match your firmware version first. If your mainboard is running 4.0.1, load a 4.0.1 config. Loading 4.1.0 onto 4.0.1 firmware gives you actuator definitions the firmware doesn't have.
- Then pick the nozzle variant. The JUKI configs ship with nozzle tip calibration data and the S255 solenoid fix already applied. Take a JUKI config if you're using the nozzles the machine shipped with. The stock variants are uncalibrated official defaults — useful as a reference or a clean starting point, but you'll redo the calibration steps yourself.
- If you've swapped nozzles, start from stock and calibrate — nozzle tip calibration is specific to the tip geometry.
Switching configs later is fine, but export your current one first. Calibration data you've captured is stored in the config file, and loading over it discards it.
Firmware
- Mainboard firmware (Marlin-based)
- Photon feeder controller firmware
OpenPnP Software
OpenPnP v2.6 installers are self-hosted on the PikkoBot CDN for reliable access.
| Platform | File | Size |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 64-bit | OpenPnP-windows-x64-main.exe | 238 MB |
| Windows 32-bit | OpenPnP-windows-x32-main.exe | 193 MB |
| macOS (Universal) | OpenPnP-macos-main.dmg | 243 MB |
| Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) | OpenPnP-linux-main.deb | 188 MB |
| Linux (tar.gz) | OpenPnP-unix-main.tar.gz | 187 MB |
Before You Install OpenPnP
OpenPnP needs Java 11 or newer. Check first:
java -version
If that reports 1.8 or fails, install a current JDK before running the installer. The Windows installer bundles a JRE; the macOS and Linux builds do not, and a Java 8 runtime produces a startup error that looks like a corrupt download but isn't.
If the Download Stalls
The installers are 200 MB+. If a download stops partway through:
- Try a different browser — some corporate proxies truncate large binary downloads without reporting an error
- Verify the file size matches the table above before running it. A truncated installer usually fails with a generic "this file is damaged" message
- If you're behind a proxy, the OpenPnP project hosts the same release at openpnp.org as an alternative source
Remote Support
If a setup problem needs hands-on help, we can run a remote session. Any of these work — pick whichever you already have installed:
| Tool | Platform |
|---|---|
| TeamViewer | Windows, macOS, Linux |
| AnyDesk | Windows, macOS, Linux |
| Google Meet screen share | Any browser |
Email [email protected] with your machine version, what you've tried, and a photo of the machine state. A screenshot of the OpenPnP error dialog saves a round trip.
